Orcas Island - Activities

Orcas Island offers its visitors an entire range of outdoor activities and environments to enjoy. From the highest point in the San Juans the top of Mount Constitution to pebbly beaches at the crystal waters’ edge, there is a different outdoor environment for any taste.

Swim in or kayak on a pristine mountain lake, hike a wooded trail, bike a quiet back road with views of the mainland snow-covered mountains, or boat or canoe on the sound through protected inlets. It’s a special treat to view the island from its surrounding waters.

For the younger visitors (or not so young, but daring), you can take advantage of our world-class skate park at the edge of Eastsound. For indoor fun, The Funhouse is a cool place for youngsters to hang out that’s drug- and alcohol-free. It offers a wide range of activities from board games to a recording and video production studio.

Barbecue your dinner at a lakeside table in our state park after a whale watching tour, horseback ride, round of golf or even a scenic biplane flight!
